A few images from Beth & Phil’s wedding on a beautiful day in May at Albright Hussey Manor Hotel. The chance to get a summery feel back into my photography was all the more welcome after the poor spring weather we had, when it looked like summer may never come. And I’m sure that oilseed rape farmers will be just as relieved and happy as wedding photographers!

Fearn&AndySunday evening sunshine
My second 'engagement shoot' of the week - great fun in the Sunday evening sunshine in amongst the buttercups with Fearn and Andy.
Engagement or pre-Wedding Shoots are a great way of breaking the ice before the big day; perfect to get accustomed to the camera and how your photographer works, and to settle any nerves and make sure that your wedding day photos are full of those natural, relaxed expressions that reflect the emotion of the day.
My premium package includes an engagement shoot, but it can added as an option with the other packages. Or if you haven't yet chosen your photographer, it can be used as a trial to help you decide.
Just drop me a line please if you'd like to know more on [email protected]

Bodysgallen Hall in Llandudno is a lovely venue - possibly the best in North Wales for smaller weddings?
Katy & Glenn's wedding there at the end of October was an absolute joy to cover - not just because they're such a modest, unassuming couple, but because I've known Glenn literally since he was born, and having already covered his sister's wedding earlier in the year, already knew many of the guests too.

Not something you see every day, is it?
But for a couple who met playing mixed doubles, and whose lives revolve around tennis, it was inevitable and completely fitting that the sport should feature heavily in their big day. Their theme included the Wimbledon colours of purple and green, and the front lawn at the Wild Pheasant, Llangollen became Centre Court.
Great fun, and part of a very memorable day for a likeable couple that I've loved working with.

It's been a while since I've shot in the Asian Garden. I quite like the original traditional garden too, with its weeping willows, but on a sunny day the Asian Garden with its vibrant colours comes into its own. The acers are amazing!
